Thank You, Father.

Yes. Thank You.

As far as I'm concerned this is MUCH too early in the morning to have to be awake. Thank You that You know better. In fact, You truly do know best!

Father, thank You for this time to explore Your Word. To look at the lyrics of the song that keeps singing itself to me.

♪So many little words, so many little lies

That have followed you all of your life♪

Searching. Seeking. Wandering. Reading. All the while wondering. What is Your true best for each of us?

I pray it. Often. Your best. Your will. Your way. For others. Even myself.

Reading in Psalms. And Proverbs. Some of the prophets. And the Gospels. 

I thought for sure I had it in Romans 12:2. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Seems pretty best to me!

Yet the “Aha!” wasn’t there. It’s good and all. Oh, but I kept digging. Until I remembered the apostle Paul’s ending to a letter to the church at Corinth.

“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:13). Yes!

Talk about being properly insulated from the prowling of the devil (1 Peter 5:8). It’s faith, hope and love that will last forever (1 Corinthians 13:13). We need to “Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love” (1 Corinthians 16:13).

And just how are we to do that? With “the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit”!

Do all You must Blessed God that I will stand firm. On guard. Being strong and courageous. Doing everything with Your love.

I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Use me as only You do is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
