Holy God,
I’m looking to You (Micah 7:7). To know You. To love You. For endurance (Hebrews 12:1). Your guidance.
(5:31 a.m.)
I’m confessing a struggle to You right now Dear Lord. My thoughts and emotions are darting all over the place.
Evidence of strained relationships keep coming to mind. Replays of certain looks. Tones of voice. Turns of phrase.
Father, I long to love You as You desire. Yet the speed bumps I continue encountering throw me wildly off-kilter. Do all You must blessed God in teaching me to stay Your course.
(6:38 a.m.)
Having turned to Psalm 34:5, I read also verse 4. Then up to the beginning. Father, thank You that a song began humming to me immediately upon reading the words “freed from all my fears” (v. 4b).
Attempting to find words to match the tune all I knew for sure was “… of the Father.” Was it “love…”? “The name…”? “Child…”?
Quite unsure that this is it, I’m content to sing of Your heart.
♪Jesus, Your name is power, it’s breath and living water
And Your Spirit guides me to the Heart of the Father♪
Looking to You. Wanting to know and be loved by You. It IS Jesus’ name that is power. And the Spirit who guides me.
Continue Your work in drawing me back to You every single time I start drifting off the course You have planned for me. I love, need, trust and want You as the absolute LORD of my life. Do all You must. As You alone know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
