♪All at once♪
(I See the Light)
Holy God,
It’s quite interesting to me that I’ve been singing ♪Somebody To You♪ for days. Even again earlier this morning.
Finally ready to bring it to You and “Bam!” It changed. Almost instantly I went from not having to ♪be somebody when I’m already somebody to You♪ to ♪all at once everything♪ looking and being different.
Father God, how I thank You for the ways You get our attention. Mm, yes. There is much to be found about putting our attention on You.
(5:54 a.m.)
So much to be found indeed!
Father, thank You for being right here in our midst. The more I read about Your omnipresence, the greater grows my hope.
Reading in and of Your Word
(6:16 a.m.)
I walk away. And come back. Repeatedly.
It’s too much! “I scarce can take it in.”
And would You just look at that? Lyrics from yet another song. ♪How Great Thou Art♪
Blessed, Holy, Father God,
I long to experience You as You know is best. In all the wondering and wandering that is necessary.
To come before You. Humbly. Hungry for Your presence. Truly just to be with You.
With all the thoughts and plans of things needing attention around, I’m asking (Matthew 7:7) You to guide and direct my decision making process. I am deeply flawed dear Lord. My energies and intent wane far more than they grow these days. Do all You must to the end You have for me.
Zephaniah 3:17 tells us, “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
Announced originally to Jerusalem, I wonder if this promise holds true for us believers now? I choose to believe it does.
Father, I love, need, trust and want You. Continue Your work in, with, by, through and for me that I will truly recognize Your presence throughout every given day. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
