"Listen!"

 Tuesday, December 10, 2024 (5:08 a.m.)

Holy God,

Thank You! I’ve made yet another mistake. Thank You that it was so easily rectified. Thank You that I get to look to You every time asking “What do I do?”

You are teaching me so much. Allowing me to learn lessons I didn’t necessarily think I wanted to learn. Mm, yes Father. You do know best!

(5:35 a.m.)

I want to become a better learner Lord. Taking time. Listening. Truly paying attention.

There are so many times and things I think I know what I’m doing. Only to be reminded another mistake has been made. Thank You that You are always right here with us.

(6:20 a.m.)

Reading. Thinking, Thanking. Tearing. I tell You Father, I am a mess of emotions right now.

Part of me wants to cry. Another thinks I want to laugh. Loud and long and hard. Maybe take a walk. Or run!

Let me keep bringing it all back to You. Every mistake. Mishap. Learning experience. Near miss. Misstep. Asking (Matthew 7:7) You to turn it into something wonderful (Romans 8:28).

Yes! “Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by Your Truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You” (Psalm 25:4-5).

Oh yes Blessed Father. Teach me! I want to think and say and be and do all that YOU alone know is best. Embolden, empower and enable me in all the intricacies with which this day holds.

This day. That You have made. The one in which I am to rejoice and be glad (Psalm 118:24). Again I ask You to teach me to, “Listen!” when You speak. Follow where You lead. I want very much to be strong, confident and unafraid. Teach me. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
