Am I done sleeping Lord? Do You have things You want me to know at this precise time [better known as: ungodly hour]?
(4:59 a.m.)
Evidently You do! Thank You that You want be me not to be afraid. To be string strong and of good courageous (Joshua 1:9 Read especially The Message vs.1-9). And willing to make mistakes!
I confess to having been so caught up in fear that I’d become almost frozen. Very automatic. Checking each thought, motive and action so much that it led to near inaction.
I want to not be afraid God. To laugh. Freely. Often. Loudly! You will provide my every need. I do NOT have to live in fear of making mistakes.
I look to You as my source of bravery and courage. You have so much to teach me in living each day as You would have me. Truly rejoicing. And being glad (Psalm 118:24).
Here I am. Reporting for duty, Sir. Wanting to think and say and do and BE all that You have for me.
Father, thank You for the roller coaster of emotions I experienced yesterday. Thank You for the many tears I cried. Thank You for the indecision. And even the fear. Leading me to see once again that I want to live each day in, with, by, through and for You. YOU lead. I’ll follow.
Blessed God, You have provided us with every opportunity to truly BE Your precious children. I want desperately to take full advantage of all You are offering.
Lord, I have this whole entire day in front of me. I’m asking (Matthew 7:7) You to teach me to use it as You would have me. Wisely. And well. Unafraid. Taking full advantage of every single opportunity You present.
I want to be like “the next generation of Israelites.” Willing to trust and obey You. Agreeing to follow and witness miracles.
Thank You Father that You have so much You want to provide for us. Make me ready and willing to receive it all, I ask.
Deuteronomy 31:6. Moses speaking to Joshua. “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them [the nations living in the land]. For the LORD Your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Hebrews 13:5 “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.’”
I want to be a good steward Dear Lord. I’m in over my head here in not knowing what that looks like. Again I turn and look to You.
♪”Great is Thy Faithfulness,” O God my Father… “Great is Thy faithfulness!” Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided - “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!♪ (Lamentations 3:23).
Great IS Thy faithfulness Dear Lord. Teach me to use well all You have provided!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Other translations say: discipline, sound judgment, personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control], wise discretion, sobriety, help to control ourselves properly, temperance, sensible, wisdom, prudence.
Thank You God. All glory and power is Yours!
The Living Bible tells us, “For the Holy Spirit, Good’s gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them.” Now THERE’S a thought! And a challenge. And the Truth!
Again I ask You to teach me to be a better follower. Yes Father. Do all You must that I will truly trust You and not be afraid!
I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
