Most Dear and Glorious, Blessed and Beloved Lord God,
Thank You that You are You. And I am not!
(5:48 a.m.)
This is exactly what I mean. I say/think one thing to You [“I’m not God!”] and You show me others who have had the same realization. St. Catherine of Siena is one.
Known for her holiness, asceticism [severe self-discipline] and spiritual visions she openly shared a conversation she had with Jesus. Recorded by her in a letter to her confessor, Raymond of Capua, Christ had said to her: “Do you know what you are to Me, and what I am to you, my daughter? I am He who is, you are she who is not.”
(6:23 a.m.)
Interesting ways of thinking Lord. With all the Truth that is found here in Your Word, I am seeking (Matthew 7:7) that on which You would have me stand. The solid Rock that is Jesus.
Matthew 7:24-27
Romans 8
Lord, I’m looking to You as I’m leaving here to go out into the day. You know? The one You have made (Psalm 118:24a). The one in which I am to rejoice and be glad (24b).
Because You are God and I am not, I leave ALL the particulars to You! Lead, guide and direct me that I will go and do as You know is best. I love, need trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
