almost

 Christmas Eve ~ Tuesday, December 24, 2024 (5:16 a.m.)

Thank You, God.

I wasn’t ready.

And then I was.

You did that! Thank You.

Hours of being awake. Not quite set. Nowhere near willing. Only able to say, “Almost.” That’s all it took.

Confessing I was almost ready. Almost willing. “Almost” was enough for You to take what I was offering and run with it.

First came a smile. Followed by some hope. A touch of joy. A small smackerel of peace. And all the love You have for us. Thank You Father.

You meet us where we are.

(6:46 a.m.)

How wonderfully good You are to do exactly that!

Philippians 4:19

Proverbs 16:9, 33

Matthew 15:22-28

Thank You for Your Word of Truth and promises. Teach me to use it wisely and well. I want to glorify and enJOY You forever. Today especially.

This IS the day You have made (Psalm 118:24a). I WILL rejoice and be glad in it (v. 24b). All because I wasn’t ready. And I told You so.

Thank You for showing me that sometimes “almost” is enough. Your words to Jeremiah (32:27) speak volumes.

“I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?”

♪Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing Nothing is too difficult for Thee♪ Thank You that this is true! Thank You that You are faithful (2Thessalonians 3:3).

I love, need, trust and want You. Do all You must in, with, by, through and for me that You will truly be our focus. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
