"unfailing love of the LORD"

 Thursday, January 8, 2026 (5:36 a.m.)

Good morning Lord,

You are good. Great. Glorious. Gracious (Psalm 145:5-8). Loving. Kind. And I’m confessing to feeling quite a bit of sad concern for others.

I tried sitting it out yesterday. Hoping the emotions would pass.

Isaiah 52:13-53:12

Lamentations 3

1 Peter 5:5b-7

(7:16 a.m.)

Father,

Thank You for the privilege of bringing every sense of sadness to You. I confess to trying to rise above it. Acknowledge that it’s there. But not let it touch me. Like trying to run from it.

Thank You for the easy find of the song that started singing in my head as soon as I thought of trying to outrun sadness.

♪Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me♪

I can feel as sad as is necessary because

♪All my life You have been faithful

All my life You have been so, so good

With every breath that I am able

I will sing of the Goodness of God

Thank You Father for the Truth of Your Word. Especially pertinent to my spirit at this moment are Lamentations 3:22 and 23.

“The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By His mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each day.”

Thank You for Your Truth. Your promises. And Your unfailing love. Use me as You know is best. Doing all You must in, with, by, through and for me. I love You. I need You. I want You. I thank and praise You. Amen.
