Holy God,
Thank You! I was blessed with sleep. A remembered dream. And a song upon awaking. Thank You. Yes. Thank You, indeed!
♪Let everything
That has breath
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord♪
(Psalm 150:6)
Mm, yes. Praise You Lord!
I confess. I am still learning the difference between thanking and praising You. The nutshell version reminds me that we thank You for what You’ve done. And praise You for who You are.
I want to learn to praise You with the ready ease with which I thank You.
(5:20 a.m.)
No sooner uttered and here is a corresponding verse to my request. Psalm 100:4.
♪I Will Enter His Gates with thanksgiving in my heart
I will enter His courts with praise
I will say, “This is the day that the Lord has made”
I will rejoice for He has made me glad♪
Thank You Father for the ways You speak to us. Praise You for being the loving God (1 John 4:8) You are. Glorious. Great. Good. Gracious (Psalm 145:5-8).
(6:13 a.m.)
Digging even deeper, I am reminded that You are also just (Isaiah 61:8) and merciful (Luke 6:36). Father, thank You for encouraging me to get to know You better.
And in the process I’m also getting a glimpse of who You would have me be. Brave. Strong. Courageous. Unafraid. (Joshua 1:9). Do all You must in, with, by, through and for me to this end Dearest Dad.
I love, need, trust and want You. Thank and praise You Lord.
♪As long as I’m breathing
I’ve got a reason to
Praise the Lord
Oh, my soul♪
Amen.
