9th Day of Christmas ~ Thursday, January 2, 2025 (4:06 a.m.)
How perfectly fitting you are Dearest God. I make mistakes. You do not. You know Your best for each of us. Flaws and all.
I’ve spent time wondering why people seem to enjoy treating one another badly. Shaking my head. And wake up singing George Michael again.
♪And it’s hard to love, there’s so much to hate Hanging on to hope When there is no hope to speak of And the wounded skies above say it’s much too late Well, maybe we should all be Praying For Time♪
Here I am, absolutely WOWed by You again! When I stay in my head, wondering this, that and something else I make little to no progress. When I look up to You and other people who have walked with You, I am reminded of the strength of Your mighty power (Ephesians 6:10).
Father, thank You That You ARE the Lord, the God of all mankind. And there is nothing You can’t do (Jeremiah 32:27). You heal diseases. Your restore broken, hurting hearts and relationships (Joel 2:25). How I ask (Matthew 7:7) You to do exactly that Dearest God. Heal. Restore. While there is still time.
I am reminded of time I've wasted. Choices I knew were not what You would have me make. Grudges held. Bitter resentments distilled. All in the effort to prove my point. Make another pay for hurting me
It’s when I bring my thoughts, words and actions to You that You take me deeper into Your Word. Thank you Father. EasyEnglish Bible. Ephesians 3:19-21.
“Christ’s love for us is so great that nobody can ever completely know it. As you understand this more and more, God’s own nature will completely fill you.
“We praise God, who causes His power to work in us. In that way, He is able to do much more than we could ever ask for. He can do much more than we could even think about. We want all God’s people to know that God is great! Everyone who belongs to His church and who trusts in Christ Jesus should praise Him! We should praise Him always and for ever. Amen. That is true!”
Blessed God, I have no idea what happens next. I do know You to be good. Gracious. Glorious. Great (Psalm 145:5-8).
Your Word (Isaiah 43:14-44:5) teaches The LORD’S Promise of Victory. You have so much more planned for us than what we settle for. Keep working in, with, by, through and for each and every single one of Your precious children.
(5:37 a.m.)
Again I am saying “WOW!” Thank You for taking me even more deeply into Your Word. The story of Samson (Judges 13-16). How have I never read the lessons of his life before? Thank You for his example of mistakes, betrayal, revenge, misspent energy and restoration.
Only You have the power of truly teaching us that it is never too late for us to do as You would have us do. To live and love as You have ordained.
Continue Your work in me Dear Lord. I love, need, trust and want You. Embolden, empower, enable me to think, say, do and be all You have for me. Thank You. Praise You. Use me. Amen.
