holding on to what is good

 Saturday, October 3, 2026 (4:41 a.m.)

Holy, Holy, Holy, God and Father,

Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your mercy. Your grace. Your love. And loving kindnesses.

Mm, thank You that no matter the circumstances, there is always something for which to give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18). You are “never subject to change” (James 1:17c The Passion Translation).

(4:59 a.m.)

Well this is definitely taking a much deeper turn. Thank You God.

Mm, yes. Thank You that Paul sent letters for how Your followers were to live their lives. Thank You that the core of those messages still stand true today. They, like You, do not change.

(5:19 a.m.)

(6:22 a.m.)

Or do they?

Reading more in and of Your Word, I find much is written about the cultures of the time Paul’s letters were written. Father, thank You that we have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us.

We are not here solely on our own. Thank You that we are securely anchored to You. Which brings up another point!

YOU stay the same. We drift in and out. You never change. We often do.

(7:54 a.m.)

Thank You that we have Your promises of hope to hold onto. Thank You that “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary” (Hebrews 6:19).

Father I ask (Matthew 7:7) You to use me this day [which You have made (Psalm 118:24a)]. Rejoicing. Being glad (v.24b). And holding securely on to You!

I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Do all You must that I will worship, adore, glorify, enJOY and represent You well. Now and forever.

Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
