hospitality

Tahoe Vista, CA

Incredibly Awesome, Holy, Father God,

Thank You that You are all things to us. I believe You have more than a few things to teach me about hospitality. I’m inviting You in to do Your best. In, with, by, through and for me.

Thank You for Your love which makes me want to even begin to entertain this thought at the moment. Reading in an e-article found by searching “God is all things” I’m finding more about You welcoming and providing. Thank You Father.

I like the ways You change my thinking. Gently at times. A little [or a LOT!] more firmly at others.

Thank You for the perfect spot (kitchen countertop] on which to sit and enJOY the sun rising in the sky. Over the mountains, just northeast of me. You are such an incredibly hospitable Father. I want to learn from You Lord.

Back to “God IN all things”… the writer (of “In the Beginning, God Welcomed: A Biblical View of Hospitality”) tells of You “set[ting] the stage for all acts of hospitality to follow, embedding the practice deep within the fabric of creation itself.”

He goes on to say, “Hospitality is a sacred act, an opening up of care to the other… caring for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of others. It’s about creating a space where people feel valued, heard and cared for in their entirety.”

I want to learn to do this blessed God. More of You. Less of me!
