casualness

 Wednesday, September 18, 2024 (7:41 a.m.)

Tahoe Vista, CA

Hi God,

Thank You. Yes. Thank You that I am able to come before You with such casualness. Casual in an easy sense. Not indifferent.

(8:01 a.m.)

Thank You Father for the full-on beauty of this place. Not diluted in nature or effect. Everything included. Nothing missing or absent.

Father, I love You. Thank You for the peace Your provide. Looking out at the calm, practically still water I am again grateful for this opportunity.

Having had a husband who loved and cared enough to make this happen is a treasured gift I do not take for granted.

(9:00 a.m.)

Father, You afforded us all the circumstances necessary to grow in our love and respect for one another. All the while learning more about Your love for each of us.

Thank You for this time to sit and study the risks of becoming too casual with You. Because You know my heart (Psalm 139) You are fully aware of the reverence I have for You. Thank You for calling me to learn more.

You are holy. Majestic. Good. Great. Glorious. Gracious (Psalm 145:5-8). These are qualities of Yours I do not take lightly.

Quoting a Bible Chat e-article, “our communication with God should reflect the balance of reverence and intimacy that characterizes our relationship with Him. We are invited to approach Him with confidence and sincerity, recognizing His holiness and majesty while also embracing the close, personal relationship we have with Him as our Father. By maintaining this balance, we can ensure that our conversations with God are both respectful and genuine, honoring Him in all that we say and do.”

Yes. Please!
