Holy God,
♪I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier I got soul but I’m not a soldier…♪ Oh, but I am. Aren’t I? Aren’t we called to be good soldiers in Your army (2 Timothy 2:1-7)?
Yes! We are to “Be strong with the Lord’s mighty power” (Ephesians 6:10). To put on Your armor so we will “stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule the world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms” (11-12)
We are to “Use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil” (v.13a). Yes Father! I want to “still be standing firm” (13b) after every battle. Thank You that You change my way of thinking.
I woke up singing one thing (♪All These Things That I’ve Done♪) and ended up having my heart cracked wide open by the power of Your forgiveness. Lord God, I am asking (Matthew 7:7) You to use me as an example of Your glorious, awesome power.
Do all You must in, with, by, through and for me that I will continue standing firm in the Truth and power of Your loving Word. I love, need, trust and want You Blessed God. Use me exactly as You know is best. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
