Good morning Holy God,
I love You. I need, trust and want You as the greatest focus of my day. I took some detours yesterday.
(6:17 a.m.)
Yes. There were more grumbles and growls. A domino effect of inconveniences led to me cursing before I remembered to thank You.
Yes Lord. In thanking I became aware that the vase that tipped was only cracked, not shattered. There were no shards of thin glass anywhere. And the trash had yet to be emptied.
The knee I had hit against the counter as the sunflowers were falling stopped hurting as I walked around the kitchen purposefully thanking You. Yes Father. Thank You that I remembered to repeatedly say “Thank You” until I actually believed the words.
I became truly thankful with every single repeat of the phrase. Thank You for reminding me Lord.
(7:52 a.m.)
Thank You also for the reminder to look up throughout the course of the day. Lifting my eyes and my heart to You. Thank You Father.
This current time spent in the doldrums has been especially taxing.
