Awesome God,
Thank You.
It’s been quite awhile since I have started the day by singing so simply to You. Thank You for the joy and gladness that come from intentionally being grateful.
It took a minute to realize that there was no song upon awakening. Wondering what to do next. Where to start? I noticed the lyrics forming as I walked through the hallway.
Entering gates and courts. With thanksgiving and praise. Acknowledging You as having made this day. Rejoicing and being glad.
These are all choices. Decisions not to be taken lightly. Nor frivolously. Entering gladly. Let’s keep working on this.
You are so very good. Gracious. Great. Glorious (Psalm 145:5-8). Your Word is filled with examples. Thank You that we have such ready access to Your Truth. And promises.
I want very much to live this day [which You have made!] gladly. Rejoicing. With thanksgiving. And praise. Do all You must to this very end.
I love, need, trust and want You. Use me exactly as You alone know is best. Gladly entering Your gates and courts. Thankfully and praisefully. Amen.
