Most Dear and Blessed Holy God,
Thank You! There was sleep. And songs. More sleep. A remembered dream. Another song. And many words.
Father God. It is election day in America. We are in desperate need of Your presence.
(4:17 a.m.)
How perfect You are Blessed God! I wake up thinking I’m going to pray about honor. And here I am reading Ecclesiastes 9:16-18 instead.
“… Wisdom is better than might, but the wisdom of commoners is despised and their words aren’t heeded. The calm words of the wise are better heeded than the racket caused by a ruler among fools.”
Oh Blessed God, let us not be fools! ♪God HELP America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the Light from above♪
We need You Lord. Oh how we need You.
I know/believe You to be in charge. Nothing can happen that doesn’t filter through You first. satan is the enemy in this story. Not one candidate over the other. Your people, Your children are warring with one another.
We’ve lost sight of the true liar. Focusing on the worst. Not the best. That is not love.
Thank You for the Truth You continue singing to me this morning. ♪Way Maker, Miracle Worker Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness My God, that is who You are♪ That IS who You are! Thank You Father.
We, as Your people want You to be honored. Praised.
This prayer took its turn when the word poise popped into my head. Searching “God’s poise” I came to a writing by Derek Maul.
Dated December 6, 2018. And titled “POISE - grace, elegance, balance & control #GeorgeHWBush”
Look at ALL that has taken place since that date, Lord! The writer draws attention to the words of Ecclesiastes 10:12-14.
“Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips. At the beginning their words are folly; at the end they are wicked madness- and fools multiply words. No one knows what is coming- who can tell someone else what will happen after them?"
Mr. Maul went on to speak of the poise and wisdom that were "seldom practiced in today’s reactive, dismissive, knee-jerk, volatile, sound-bite social and political climate.” That was very close to six years ago Father. We, as Your people, need Your wisdom and poise Dearest God.
We need YOUR leadership. Your guidance. The power of Your Holy Spirit made manifest in our daily lives.
Thank You for the shift the music of my heart just took. ♪When Morning Gilds the Skies My heart awaking cries: May Jesus Christ be praised! Alike at work and prayer, To Jesus I repair: May Jesus Christ be praised!♪
THAT is where true honor and power is found! In loving, knowing, trusting, believing, wanting, following and praising Jesus. HE can unite this nation. You are able to bless and keep us.
♪Does sadness fill my mind? A solace here I find, May Jesus Christ be praised! Or fades my earthly bliss? My comfort still is this, May Jesus Christ be praised!♪
This IS the song of my heart for our nation Dear Lord! ♪To God, the Word, on high The host of angels cry May Jesus Christ be praised Let mortals, too, upraise Their voice in hymns of praise May Jesus Christ be praised!♪
You know Your best Dearest God. Thy will be done! Do all You must in making us into a people who ‘do justice, love mercy, and walk with humility in Your presence’ (Micah 6:8).
We love You Lord. We need, trust and want You. All honor and praise belong to You. Use us to Your glory. Thank You. Amen.
(620 words ~ 5:32 a.m.)
P.S. Here are more important verses for me to remember at this present time.
“My dear brothers and sisters, be quick to listen, slow to speak and be even slower to anger” (James 1:19)
“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not!” (Luke 12:25).
“My little children, you belong to God. You have won against those people with a false message. You have been able to do that because God’s Holy Spirit is in you. He is more powerful than the spirit that belongs to this world” (1 John 4:4).
P.P.S. Now this from Martin Luther King, Jr. “The Christian faith makes it possible for us nobly to accept that which cannot be changed, and to meet disappointments and sorrow with inner poise, and to absorb the most intense pain without abandoning our sense of hope.”
Amen Dearest God. Amen!
