Blessed God and Father,
Thank You. There was sleep. Dreams. Rest. Rejuvenation.
(4:21 a.m.)
Mm, yes. Rejuvenation. Thank You God.
Thank You that I was able to wake up singing again. Intentionally. ♪I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart I will enter His courts with praise I will say “this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice for He has made me glad…”♪ (Psalm 100:4, 118:24).
Thank You that thanking You really is the gateway to praising You. Thanking comes easier for me than praising. And You are teaching me the importance of both. Thank You.
Thank You for the return of a song from our children’s childhoods. Psalty the Singing Songbook.
♪(Don’t You Know) It’s Time to Praise the Lord
In the sanctuary of His Holy Spirit
So set your mind on Him
And let your praise begin
And the glory of the Lord
Will fill this place
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord
He lives within
The praises of His people
(Psalm 22:3)
He loves to hear us
Call upon His name
So set your mind on Him…♪
Yes. Set my mind on You!
That’s when the sleep began very late last night. When I remembered the Truth and power of Psalm 18:1. “I love You, GOD - You make me strong.”
Forgive me Father. I forget that a lot. Fear often overtakes my trust in You. Far more regularly than I would hope.
Thank You that You are ready, willing and able to help when we call upon Your name. Unexpected life events tend to leave me reluctant. Thank You that You are far greater than any fear I come upon.
Continue Your work in teaching me to forsake all and truly trust You. I love and need You Lord. I want to be obedient to Your leading. I confess to wanting it on my terms.
Thank You for ever reminding me that You are glorious, great, good and gracious (Psalm 145:5-8). I want to live each moment as though I honestly believe and trust You.
Reading about being rejuvenated by You took me to Romans 8:11. "The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. And just as He raised Christ from the dead, He will give life to your mortal body by the same Spirit living within you."
The next thing I know I’m singing again.
♪Let the glory of the Lord
Rise among us…
Let the praises of the King
Rise among us
Let It Rise♪
Mm, yes Lord. Let Your glory, praises, songs and joy rise among us. Do all You must in using me as You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
