instructions

 Monday, November 25, 2024 (5:10 a.m.)

Blessed, Holy God,

Thank You! You blessed me with added sleep. Opportunity. Truth. More opportunity. And Your presence.

Time spent with hurting young men. Desperately missing their much loved Papa. Trying to make sense out of that which makes no sense to them.

Questions about the upcoming holidays brought unexpected insights. The depth of potential pain. The awkwardness with which these next weeks will be approached, acknowledged and possibly even avoided is so wonderful to be addressed.

Thank You for Your hand in all of this Dear Lord. Conversations about fear. Blame. Shame. Forgiveness. Prayerful communications. All with You at the center. Thank You.

Lead me not into temptation today Dearest Dad. Deliver me from the evil one (Matthew 6:9-13). he is a master of disguises. Make sure I stay alert to him on the prowl. Like a roaring lion. Looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Father, thank you for Your love. Your guidance. Your instructions.

(6:23 a.m.)

THAT sky was absolutely worth getting up and going out to enJOY!

Father, thank You that You do instruct us to rejoice (Philippians 4:4). Be joyful and glad (Psalm 118:24). Love one another (John 13:34).

Use me as You know is best. Obeying You. Doing right. Loving mercy. And walking humbly with You (Micah 6:8).

New Living Version says, “O man, He [the Lord] has told you what is good. What does the Lord ask of you but to do what is fair and to love kindness, and to walk without pride with your God?”

Yes please, Dear Lord. Make it so. I want to follow Your instructions today.

I love, need, trust and want You. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
