You!

 Wednesday, January 6, 2021 (6:40 a.m.)

Holy God,

Thank You. For people. And dreams. And wonders. And thoughts. And ideas. And most of all, You! Your Truth. Your Word. Your promises. Your Son.

(8:01 a.m.)

(9:53 a.m.)

Interruptions. Side tracks. Rabbit trails. Distractions. Deflections. And back to You. Thank You Father.

Thank You that in each unexpected phone call I’ve received, Your love was obvious. Sharings of hope and Your Truth abounded. Thank You Lord.

(11:53 a.m.)

Trying again. Lord God, my focus keeps straying. Here one moment. Somewhere else the next. Thank You for the opportunity to be reminded of past events. Thank You for fun. And frolic. Laughter. And prayer.

Yes Lord. Thank You that no matter where we are in life, in busyness, in rest, in thought... we can come to You in prayer. Amen! Thank You Lord.

I started this morning looking at John 16:33.

(12:07 p.m.)

And this just in… “Armed Stand-off” in our nation’s capitol. Are you kidding me? Lord God! YOU know what You’re doing! We do not. Uncertainty. Unrest. Disturbance. Anarchy. Lawlessness. Turmoil. Turbulence. Chaos. Crisis. Confusion.

LORD GOD, WE NEED YOU!!!!

You!!!! Oh dear God, we are in such dire need of YOU! Politics. Pandemic. Pandemonium. Please God. We need You.

(12:53 p.m.)

My original thoughts while first praying were of leaving this verse and going over to Ephesians 3:14-21. Titled A Loving People in Illustrated Bible Handbook. The Life Recovery Bible calls it Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Empowering.

Lord God, I can’t ask enough our need for Your “Work Within; 3:20,21 (Illustrated Bible Handbook). Living and loving each other as family is our heritage in Christ.” This storming of the Capitol is NOT that!

Back to Jesus’ words.

(3:24 p.m.)

“…Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33b, c).

I say to You the prayer of my heart. “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20b). We need You. Desperately! Thank You. Praise You. Do all You must to YOUR good and to YOUR glory. I love You. Amen.

(371 words ~ 3:31 p.m.)
