Blessed Holy God,

Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.

You are good. Gracious. Glorious. Great (Psalm 145:5-8). And ♪Im So Blessed I’m so blessed Got this heartbeat in my chest No, it doesn’t matter about the rest If I got You, Lord, I’m so blessed♪

(5:49 a.m.)

All this time spent reading of how blessed I am in You. Yes! I am so blessed! Thank You God.

Thank You for this privilege of sitting with You. Truly meditating, thinking about, considering all You are and do on our behalf. Thank You Father for blessing us so completely.

The Voice. “Your majesty and glorious splendor have captivated me; I will meditate on Your wonders, sing songs of Your worth. We confess - there is nothing greater than You, God, nothing mightier than Your awesome works. I will tell of Your greatness as long as I have breath. The news of Your rich goodness is no secret- Your people love to recall it and sing songs of joy to celebrate Your righteousness. The Eternal is gracious. He shows mercy to His people. For Him anger does not come easily - but faithful love does - and it is rich and abundant.”

I was able to see Your great and faithful love played out again yesterday Lord. Firsthand. Through the love of one family for their much loved “paterfamilias.” Thank You Father for their example.

I confess to being completely in awe of the love this particular family has for one another. Cousins promising to support cousins. Adult children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren breaking down at the mention of their enormous loss.

Father, the tears are flowing freely. Again. At first, unnoticed. Until the need of another tissue.

This purity of encouragement for one another is not how I was raised. Where is the backbiting? Name calling. Foul language. Fistfights. Belittling. Comparisons. Blood?

You blessed us immensely when You brought this family into our lives Dear Lord. I don't have the words to ever thank You enough for their example of honest-to-You love for one another.

Love. Pure and simple. For You. Others. And themselves. Just as Your Word commands (Mark 12:30-31).

Thank You for their example Lord. Let me use it well.

I love, need, trust and want You. Do all You must in, with, by, through and for me. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
