Blessed God,

A baby boy was born this morning. On his grandpa’s birthday no less! How I ask You to bless him and his whole family, Lord. Health. Happiness. All the things that truly come from You.

And now a smile! Deep. Heartfelt. Hopeful.

Reading Proverbs 15:30. And Zechariah 9:17. Two verses. Both touching on health and happiness. Thank You Father.

Thank You that we get to come to Your Word with every concern. Every thought. And find sustenance. Nourishment. Support.

Two devotionals in The Life Recovery Bible speak of “learn[ing] new ways of seeing things, … responding, and …making decisions.” Self-Protection (Proverbs 15:16-33) and Hope (Zechariah 9:9-17) both end by stressing the importance of turning our life over to You and trusting in You as our ultimate source of wise counsel.

Oh yes Father! You truly are “our Ultimate Source of wise counsel!” Do all You know is best in providing the wisest professionals needed for the health and happiness of this newest young family.

Father, we love You. We thank You. And we ask You for the blessings of health and happiness. Thank You Lord. Amen.
