"Doing good"

 Monday, March 11, 2024 (7:16 a.m.)

Again I’m talking with You about time Dear Lord. How quickly it passes. And here I am at Psalm 90. Reading about human frailty and our dependency on You.

Thank You God. I said it to a friend yesterday. We can find everything we need to know about how You would have us live each day in Your Word. How grateful we are that no matter the mistakes we make, You are always with us. We can turn to You and Your Word for help. And hope.

(8:11 a.m.)

Dearest Lord, You absolutely amaze me! Even when I believe the things I say about Your Truth, I am still pleasantly surprised every single time You take my thoughts from one area to another.

I thought I was coming here talking about Your supremacy over time and instead I’m reading about “Doing Good; [1 Peter] 3:8-12.” Lord God, thank You!

You provide us direction (Psalm 34:12-16). Teaching us where we are to put our focus. We are to do good, while allowing You to take care of the end results.

Comments in The Life Recovery Bible spell out the importance of sharing hurts, expressing needs, receiving loving care, forgiving one another while not plotting revenge. Praying for each other. Being careful not to say things that unnecessarily hurt others. Living in peace by resolving conflicts.

Holy God, I never can thank You enough. You bless us. You change us. You lead and guide us. You provide for our needs. Praise You Lord.

Thank You for changing my focus this morning. Shifting it over to wanting to know more of You and Your will. Use me as only You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You.

Thank You for the changes You have made, are making and will make in our hearts, souls, minds and strength which allow us to love You, others and ourselves as You would have us (Mark 12:30-31). Continue Your work in, with, by, through and for us.

We want to do good Dear Lord. As You have decreed it to be. Do all You must. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
