Blessed, Holy God,
Thank You. Thank You that we get to come before You saying something as easy as “Thank You” and You help us refocus our thinking.
Yes, Father. Thank You that we have the choice to bless or to curse. To thank or complain. Thank You that we have Your Word to turn to. Your Word to guide us.
Reading in First Chronicles of the history of King David’s reign I again find myself hopeful and encouraged as I learn more of what true worship is. Thank You Father for Your written Word.
We are able to read of Your Truth. Your promises. Your plans. And commandments. Your very best for each of us. As well as reading of deceit. Lying. Infidelity. Jealousy. Murder plots. Fear. Unforgiveness.
And David’s wholehearted worship with what seemed complete abandon through dance and song (1 Chronicles 15:27-16:36). Thanking. Rejoicing. Praising.
