Most Holy God,
I'm here with not much to say. So let
me begin with, “Thank You.” You provide.
Yes! You provide our every need. And
just like that I am sitting here in awe of You again. Searching the
phrase “provide our every need” yielded me two sections of
Scripture. Both have my heart jumping with hope.
With that said, I don't even now
which most to pursue. I am excited. Hope-filled. Agog. Eager to tell.
You provide our every need. Maybe not our wants. But absolutely our
needs! Thank You Father. Thank You God.
Ephesians 1:7-10. Yes. That's the
one. “Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, His blood poured out
on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people – free of penalties
and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely
free, either. Abundantly
free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could
possibly need, letting us in on the plans He took such delight in
making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in
which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him,
everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.”
And
as if this passage from The
Message
were not enough, I read along even further in The
Living Bible.
“Moreover, because of what Christ has done, we have become gifts to
God that He delights in, for as part of God's sovereign plan we were
chosen from the beginning to be His, and all things happen just as He
decided long ago” (v.11).
I'm
a gift to You? That You delight in? Whoa! How have I never paid
attention to that before? I'm a part of Your sovereign plan and all
things happen as You decided long ago. Should I chose to believe
this, why in this world would I ever want to worry and fret and stew
about all the variables that we come across every day.

p.m.)
Oh,
but now I'm reading again in The
Message.
“It's
in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.
Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His
eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall
purpose He is working out in everything and everyone” (Ephesians
1:11-12).
What
comfort and joy we get to take away from reading Your Word! How I
thank You for every single need You meet!
This
morning I needed to want to be here with You. You provided for me. I
hadn't even properly asked and You gave me what I needed. Thank You
Dearest God.
Paul
shared this very truth in his letter of thankful joy to the
Philippians (4:19). Quoted here from The
Voice,
“Know this:
my God will also fill every need you have according to His glorious
riches in Jesus the anointed, our
Liberating King.”
Loving
Father, how I thank You. Keep me in Your presence as I proceed with
the remainder of this day. I love You and long to be the woman You
created me to be. Make it so Dearest Dad, make it so.
Thank
You. I love You. Amen.
