Blessed God and Father,

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve woken up singing. Thank You for this first gift of the day.

(5:09 a.m.)

Yes! It’s a new day dawning. I want to use it as You would have me. Gratefully. Intentionally. Fruitfully. Trustworthily.

Do all You must Blessed God. Continue reshaping, refining and renewing my heart. My mind. My soul. My strength.

(5:23 a.m.)

There’s another song. Just beneath the surface of my consciousness. I recognize the tune. The lyrics are jumbled. All wanting to come out at once. I want to sing it out

(5:26 a.m.)

I have chills. And tears! No sooner was I spelling it all out to You and You provided me one line of clarity. “…walk me through fire”

Father! THANK YOU! I absolutely do not know what today or tomorrow hold. Yet I completely believe You hold us all in the very palm of Your hand (John 10:29).

I confess to You the roller coaster of emotions I’ve been on these past several weeks. Highs. Lows. Twists. Turns. Fearful, negative thinking. Ennui. And moments of recognition.

Like just now for example!

Me not being able to trace a song and giving You the fragments I had. Blessed God, thank You for showing me once again just how perfect You are.

I want to live this day for You. In. With. By. And through You. Start to finish.

You’ve been providing me the courage [and sometimes the clarity] I need for taking just one more step. Do all You must to align my will with Yours. I truly want to worship, adore, glorify, enjoy and represent You well.

♪I remember how You told me

That life may not be easy

And everything that I need

You’ve already given me

I remember how You told me

I can trust You completely

So why am I doubting

When You proved that You’d die fight for me

You’ve walked me through FIRES

Pulled me from flames

If You’re in this with me

I won’t be afraid

When the smoke billows high

And it feels like I can barely breathe

I’ll walk through these fires

‘Cause You’re walking with me♪

Father, thank You for being the God that is good, great, gracious and glorious (Psalm 145:5-8). Thank You for the gift that is today. Empower and embolden me in ♪living out the victory♪ that You have provided.

I love, need, trust and want You as the absolute Lord of my life. Use me. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
