sparks of hope and joy

 Friday, September 5, 2025 (4:32 a.m.)

Holy God,

Thank You. There was some sleep. And rest. Reading. Sparks of hope and joy. Quiet. Peace.

Romans 15:13

(5:51 a.m.)

Much time is spent reading various versions of this verse regarding hope, joy and peace. Father, how desperately I want it to represent my being. To have You, “the God of hope” fill me “with all joy and peace in believing...”

Yes Lord, the God of hope… ‘that by the power of the Holy Spirit I may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope’ (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).

I confess to not resembling anything near this in my thinking these days. “May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to You, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).

Thank You that You ARE the God of hope! Use me exactly as You know is best. I love, need, trust and want You Lord. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
