Holy God,
Thank You for loving us. SO much! Mm, yes. SO much.
You gave the world Your Son (John 3:16). Not to condemn it, but to save it (v. 17).
Teach me more Blessed God.
The Message tells us why You gave Your “one and only Son… so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life” (16).
Lord, I want to share Your Truth. Your teachings. Freely. Readily. Through my words. Attitudes. And actions.
“God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending His Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again” (17). Oh, yes please!
Looking further into this chapter, I read again of the world’s darkness. Contrasted by Your light.
“This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they weren’t really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure” (vs. 19-20).
Blessed God, I had opportunity to share Your Truth with three fifth grade girls yesterday. I spoke of our need for kindness. Jesus’ coming into the world to teach us how to live each day in, with, by, through and for His love.
Lord God, I am asking (Matthew 7:7) that much like their classroom experiment of various seedling growth patterns, You would enter into their hearts, souls, minds and strengths. Grow these precious girls Dear Lord. As only You are able.
You love us. SO much!
Use us. Exactly as You know is best. Learning. Loving. Being kind. Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
