Who and All You Are

Friday, July 10, 2020 (6:28 a.m.)

Holy God,

How I thank You for Who and All You are. Mm, yes Father.

We get to read Your Word. Sing hymns of praise and worship. Be reminded of Who and All You are.

As I read and sing and think, I get to remember again that You are loving. Kind. Merciful. Just. Forgiving.

(7:46 a.m.)

Oh Most Dear and Holy God as I continue reading, my heart and mind go back and forth between hope and doubt. Your Truth and fear.

Lord, I find myself smiling every time I choose faith in You. Hope and trust in You quiet the struggle I experience when confronted with unsettling circumstances. Looking to You I am reminded of Your call to forgiveness and Your promises of power.

There are so very many things I cannot do on my own. Thank You that You are ever present to our every need.

Holy Lord God, my heart truly breaks for those who are unable to accept Your promises of joy. For those whose hope and trust are in religious traditions instead of Your goodness and grace.

You are so good. Thank You that we have Your Word of Truth.

I confess to “ping-pong”ing between standing firm and caving in. You call us to forgive. Again and again and again. Your Word teaches Your Truth. And then it gets twisted by false teachers who ultimately hurt their followers.

As I read in Your Word about ‘living in unity’ how I ask You to work Your mercy and grace in Christ through us all. Ephesians 4:4-6, “We are all one body, we have the same Spirit, and we have all been called to the same glorious future.

“There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and there is only one God and Father, who is over us all and in us all and living through us all.”

Oh yes Blessed God! You are infinite and eternal. As is Your joy and peace. We get to experience who and all You are every single day. Enabling us to enjoy life to the full! Do all You must to this end Dearest Lord.

I love You. I need You. I trust You. I want You. I believe in You and Your Holy Word. Work in, with, my, through and for me that I will truly share the joy we find only through Your all encompassing love.

Please Dearest Lord. Thank You. Amen.
