Blessed God,
Again I am singing ♪Be Thankful for all He has done, Be thankful from the bottom of Your heart. Be thankful, come on everyone, ‘Cause Jesus is good to you [/me]♪ And I am, Father. So very thankful!
We were able to experience family at its best last night. Extended loved ones all joining together to celebrate the birth of their matriarch. Such great love and respect were expressed. Genuinely. Freely. Simply. Pure love. And respect. Amazing!
What a tremendous example was set for us. Thank You Father. Thank You.
You are so good to us. You provide us with blessings. Opportunities. Examples. And hope. So much hope. Thank You God.
I’m reading again (1 Chronicles 16:8-12) of King David’s enthusiastic, joyful, wholehearted worship of You. Illustrated Bible Handbook stresses that his “dancing before the Lord on that occasion was no mindful abandon.” It involved his “emotions and his intellect, and would continue to find expression in the king’s commitment to do the will of his God.”
How blessed we are to have such examples Father. Which circles me back to the celebration we were invited to witness last night. One of the finest samples of a Proverbs 31 woman that I know.
“A Wife of Noble Character (vs. 10-31) Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him but help him all her life.”
True that! We’ve actually heard him say words to this effect. Reading of all this idyllic Old Testament woman represents, I am aware of knowing no one more suited to this example.
“… She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She watches for bargains; her lights burn late into the night… When she speaks, her words are wise, and kindness is the rule when she gives instructions. She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does not have to bear the consequences of laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her…”
Yep! Truer words were never spoken, Father.
Thank You for such a fine and personal demonstration. Use me this day to share Your love as freely as was shown to us last night.
Thank You Father. We love You. Use us. Amen.
