(6:29 a.m.)
Holy God,
Thank You! We are in the
midst of challenges. We have a clog, which created a leak and then a
flood. A dropped, then splintered favored crock. Teeth are crowding.
And now a malfunctioning major appliance.
“In all things give
thanks” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Your Word challenges us to “count
it all joy” when we meet trials of various kinds (James 1:2).
The Voice
translation explains through verse four, “Don't run from tests and
hardships, brothers and sisters, As
difficult as they are, you will ultimately
find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under
pressure and teach
you true patience
as you endure. And
true patience brought on by
endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and
cross the finish line
– mature, complete, and wanting nothing.”
Here I say, “Yes. Please!” Do all You must in making us whole.
Irritants and all. We love You, Father. Thank You for all You are.
Use us. Amen.
