Blessed God,
Thank You! ♪Come To The Table♪ kept me company much of the night. Thank You Lord.
I wanted to honor my mom yesterday. You made that happen. Thoughts. Memories. Surprises. Smiles. And songs [♪A Summer Place♪, ♪The Old Rugged Cross♪ and ♪Clair De Lune♪]. A truly sweet day of remembering. Thank You Father.
And now? Singing again. Looking deeper into Sidewalk Prophets writing of ♪Come To The Table♪ God, how I thank You for the many ways You speak to us every single day.
Throughout the night it was the strong refrain repeating itself. Upon arising it was the bright oranges in the blue sky over the silhouette of the mountains surrounded by white fluffy clouds. Truly God-like!
Back to the song. Reading more about it. A “motley crew of misfits” describing us all.
Referencing the movie Hook, as well as Mark 12:16-17. Offering the visual of Rufio throwing mashed potatoes at Peter Pan and the other last boys. Reminding us that we are all the lost children of God who need to come back home.
Lord God, thank You that You invite us all. Uncouth. Thieves. Liars. Doubters. Sinners. All lost. Needing You!
Keep speaking. Singing. Guiding us in our everyday life. We need You. We want You. We love You. Use us. Exactly as You know is best.
Continue welcoming us at Your table (Psalm 23:5; Matthew 22:1-14). Thank You. Praise You. Amen.
