Holy God,
What would YOU have us do?
c o m m u n I t y
That word keeps coming up. In print. Thought. And the media.
Holy God, how we thank You for Who and ALL You are. We, as Your people, are prone to mistakes. Excesses. Thank You that Your plans are not affected by our errors in judgment.
“Social distancing” is the catch phrase / health mandate of the day. The entire world is caught in turmoil. Fear. Panic. Pulling away from one another.
Here again I look to You. Knowing. Trusting. Absolutely believing that You know the plans You have for us. That they are plans for good and not for evil. Plans to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We have no idea what those plans are. You do! Forsaking all, I trust You. Yes Lord, You are teaching us more about faith. Thank You.
Mm, yes Lord. Thank You. Jeremiah 29:12-14 tells of Your promise to listen when we pray. “If you look for Me in earnest, you will find Me when you seek Me. I will be found by you… I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes…”
Again Lord, we don’t have a clue of what Your plan is. We do however know that we can trust You! Believe You. Depend on You. Thank You!
As I myself seek Your best for us in this time of global viral outbreak I see You as our only hope. We can wash our hands and stay six feet apart from one another all the while joining our hearts, our souls, our minds and our strength together in prayer for Your end to this worldwide pandemic.
Father, we love You. The author of the book of Hebrews (10:19-39) presented A Call to Persevere. Let us heed it Lord.
Teach us how You would have us ‘Without wavering… hold tightly to the hope we say we have, for You can be trusted to keep Your promises. Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back is drawing near.’
Yes Father, teach us how to truly live as You would have us live. Especially in this time of such tremendous turmoil.
We love You Father. We trust You. We need You. We depend on You. And we ask You Lord. How desperately we ask You to lead, guide, direct and accompany us in this current crisis.
Go before us. Behind us. Beside us. Beneath us. Above and within us. Weaving us spiritually into the community You have planned for us all. Thank You Lord. Amen.
