Father,
Thank You.
Thank You for time and inclination to pray to You. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your Truth. Thank You for Your promises.
Yes Father. Thank You for the times we can turn from our ways and look to Yours. Your Way. Your Truth. Your life (John 14:6).
Father, thank You that all of the trials and sorrows that we experience were spoken of by Jesus to His disciples. As was His promise of perfect peace and confidence. John 16:33.
So many songs and Biblical verses of hope. Truth. Promise. This morning they continue speaking to me of the importance of having You as our foundation.
Oh most dear and precious Father. I come to You. Heavily burdened with the concern for others.
(7:36 a.m.)
Yes Father. Heavily burdened.
I had opportunity to pray for a marriage last night. A marriage that may very well have been built ♪on the sandy land… too near the shore…♪ 'Though it might look kind of nice It will have to be built twice Oh they’ll have to build their house once more.'
This coming from a woman who knows! Our sideways, often upside down relationship was twenty years in the making. And then we were leveled. To our very broken, unsteady foundation.
We had the choice. You always provide a choice. Your way? Or ours. Your power? Or our own. Thank You God for humbling us. Thank You for helping us rebuild our relationship, our marriage, our house. On Your Foundation that is Jesus Christ our Lord!
♪You better build your house upon a Rock, Make a good foundation on a solid spot. Well, the storms may come and go, But the peace of God you will know♪ Yes Father. Yes!
So many verses. So many songs. All leading to Your sovereignty. Empower us to live our lives in, with, by, through and for You. This I pray, all in Jesus’ precious name. Thank You. I love You. Amen.
