Holy God,
Thank You Father. Thank You
for solid sleep. Good, deep, solid sleep.
(8:17 a.m.)
Hmm. Solid. Yes, Father.
Thank You for things that are solid. Your Word. Your Truth. Your
promises. Thank You that I get to read throughout Your Testaments of
so much that is solid.
This morning I stop again to
ponder the apostle Paul's words to Titus (2:1-5). Particularly
his mention of the teaching to older women.
The Message
begins this section by describing “[A
God-Filled Life]”.
Mm, yes, Father! The way I long to live my days. Filled with You.
“Your job is to speak out on the things that make for solid
doctrine... Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up
as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness. By looking at
them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and
children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives. We
don't want anyone looking down on God's Message because of their
behavior” (Titus 2:4-5).
